Kenwood DDX8019 with BT and XM

How do I connect a Terk XMDKEN100 to my DDX8019 if I already have KCABT100 (Bluetooth) installed.

I have the Terk cable plugged into the KCABT100 now. The XM information is displayed on my DDX8019 but there is no sound. I removed the Bluetooth connection from the head unit and plugged in the Terk XM direct to the head unit and XM works fine. I'm thinking that the pass through in the Bluetooth is doing the digital only and no analog.

Re: Kenwood DDX8019 with BT and XM

I don't have the Terk, and I'm not familiar with it. Does it have a Kenwood DIN changer bus passthrough, or does it have to be the last device in the chain? I have the DDX8019, the SIR-KEN1 Sirius tuner, the KCA-V300N TV tuner, the KTC-HR100TR HD Radio tuner, and the KCA-BT100 connected with no issues. If I remember right, the KCA-BT100 likes to be the last in line, but if the Terk doesn't have a passthrough, you won't be able to do that. So try it with the KCA-BT100 first in line and see if that works.

The Terk Kenwwood adapter doesn't have a passthrough. I don't recall if the Terk universal tuner had a passthrough but I don't think it did. I wonder if I'll have to add a External Media Switcher Box

Re: Kenwood DDX8019 with BT and XM

Before I bought the switchbox I'd call Terk support and make sure it is compatible with the KCA-BT100.
