Re: 1/8th inch audio input (auxillary/mp3)

im still using the crappy FM transmitter I went out and bought the day I got my ridgeline .........I was so pissed it didnt have a aux. audio jack I drove straight to radioshack and made a quick decision that wasted $100 just to get poor sound quality

Re: 1/8th inch audio input (auxillary/mp3)

I have the USA Spec hon2 with hybrid unit and a gen 5 ipod no nav and absolutely no issues. eazy to install and work - I do not like the hybrid mode and use the direct.

Re: 1/8th inch audio input (auxillary/mp3)

Please excuse the ignorance here guys...

Not familiar with the USA spec. My new 08 RTX has a button option for XM/Aux, just as does my 07 Civic SI. The SI has an input, but I can't find one on my RTX. I guess this is what the initial question of the thread is?

Yeah, you wont find one on your RTX. That is the RTL only. Go to USA Spec or search USA Spec on the forums of this website. There is plenty of information regarding its advantages/disadvantages.

USA SPEC here as well. Easy install, use the Aux In for XM. Only problem I had was getting the center dash piece to fit snugly to the dash.

Re: 1/8th inch audio input (auxillary/mp3)

I recently installed a USA spec adapter and it works well with my iPhone. I set mine to Direct Mode- per the instructions, the Hybrid mode does not play nice with the iPhone.
