New Ridgline I want to install my subs and amp does the factory head unit have hookup

I was wondering does the factory headunit have a hook up for aftermarket amp or what would be the best way to hook up sub with amp I know how to install everything and also does anybody know the dimensions for a duel sub 12' sub box so i can skip the part of measuring and guessing I want to build on box and save some cash!

Assuming that your amp doesn't have speaker-level inputs...

Nope, no pre-amp outs or anything the like from the factory deck. To hookup an amp you've essentially got two options: Get a line output converter and splice it in. -or- Get a new (aftermarket) deck with pre-outs.

I highly recommend option 2.

Option 3 - get a sub amp with high level inputs.

I was speaking english and IM new I looked for the answer to my ? I also have the converter to splice thats what I did with my last ride> Second I still want to know the dimensions to the sub box for 12's

no it doesnt unless you include the one honda has for its factory sub but for that you need a harness, i just got mine installed, used something call a "line output converter" or something like that, it taps in to the back speakers

If you have the factory sub the headunit has an amplifier for it. So the wire running to the sub is a single speaker wire. If your new amp has speaker level inputs simply find this wire and tap into it. Be sure not to try and use the factory sub at the same time.

Thanks guys lots of help any speaker box dimensions for two 12's yet, I keep seeing people with 8's or 10's why no 12's
