Radio Balance and Fade Adjustments????
I read my owners manual and don't know if I have a problem or not. Here's the story:
I have a 2006 RTL with the factory XM and no Nav System head unit. While listening to the radio, I can adjust volume up and down with no issues. If I try to make any adjustments to Bass, Treble, Fade, or Balance, I can only adjust in one direction at a time. By that I mean, let's say I adjust to plus 4 on the bass. I decide it's too much bass and try to go back to let's say minus 1. I cannot go in the other direction. I turn the dial and nothing happens. It stays at plus 4. If I turn the radio off and then back on, I can then lower the bass. It does this for all adjustments except volume. Any thoughts. Thanks

Re: Radio Balance and Fade Adjustments????
Never heard of this before... could be the radio is broken?
I suppose a "120 reset" wouldn't hurt, try disconnecting the negative battery cable for 10 minutes or so (make sure you have the radio security code first!). Let us know if that helped. Oh, and I believe you'll have to re-enter your radio station presets too.

Re: Radio Balance and Fade Adjustments????
Mine works the same as the above post. I just 'pause' rotating the dial when it gets to zero; then continue turning and it works fine.
Maybe I'm wrong; but I assumed (dangerous I know) that Honda did this on purpose to denote when the setting was set to zero or the most neutral position. |

That's what mine is doing. This must be normal. Thanks for your replies.
