XM Radio Tips?

I was wondering if anyone had any tips on operating the factory radio that comes with the RTL Navi ? I know you can change the display to show "CATEGORY", "CHANNEL", "ARTIST", or "TITLE." But, can you get all of that info to scroll through continuously on it's own? When a new song comes on the station, it does scroll through this info but defaults back to what you have it set on. There has to be a way to continuously send that signal to the radio or program it to scroll. My wife's car does from the factory. Anyone have a clue?

It shows the information on the NAVI screen when the Audio screen is being shown.

Unfortunately, there's no continuous scroll. It's also frustrating that they don't reduce the font just a bit and give more complete titles, especially on the NAV display!

Re: XM Radio Tips?

It is a limitation of the XM software installed in the "Honda" unit.

Only newer XM models like the Skyfi2 will scroll the whole title...

Exactly. Just hit Audio on the left and ALL the info is displayed. It's a nice setup, especially for a stock system.

Its our specific Honda unit, my wife's Accord scrolls the entire title (which she never fails to mention when we're in the RL )

Re: XM Radio Tips?

My wife has an '04 model that will scroll on local FM stations, but will not scroll on XM stations. I was told that Clarion makes the radios for the Ridgeline, but I can't find any info on it or even a tech to speak with. I know you can press the "Audio" button, but a lot of the time it's really inconvenient. I guess I'll keep trying...

Re: XM Radio Tips?

Does anyone know if there is a way to upgrade the software in the XM unit? I know you can do it for most GPS systems but I was hoping there would be a way for us to be able to apply an upgrade for the whole thing.
