Re: Radio Data display for FM
Haven't noticed yet since we listen mostly to XM/CD/iPod but I'll have to check this out later.
In the meantime here's a website http://www.rdslist.com/update.php that lists the stations that broadcast RDS info. Maybe someone can check a station in their area and reply. |

Re: Radio Data display for FM
This has been my only disappointment with the RL. How can Honda be this far behind on this?

Re: Radio Data display for FM
How bout that it also doesnt display CD-TEXT info from CD's? or, that the CD player doesn't play MP3s....
I just dont get Honda in this respect. They are so behind the times in this area. Dont get me wrong, I love this truck, I just dont understand their lacking in this area. ![]()

Re: Radio Data display for FM
If I may add my 2 cents worth of observations (at least in the RTL):
Honda isn't dumb, and certaintly IS aware that RDS exists, and IS aware that it's customers would appreciate a service that is provided by the FM industry at no charge. To me it would seem to indicate that Honda and the XM industry may have made a $$$deal$$$, to make FM less attractive and reduce the initial hurddles associated with getting into XM. I may be wrong, but I can't think of a logical reason to omit this feature, or at the very least, give us the option to pay for as on option. No, it doesn't seem to fit, for a company that took the time that Honda did in planning and design before launching this truck. These of course are my conclusions, your mileage may vary... |

Re: Radio Data display for FM
I guess you haven't heard HD Radio. The sound quality blows satellite away.
