I use it in conjunction with my LG VX-9800 cell phone. I got it off of Ebay. It cost less than the wiring harness for the parrot.

The CK3100 is completely integrated with the OEM sound system (mutes the sound while on a call and the call comes over the front speakers without touching anything. Since the control box has it's own small amp, the radio doesn't even need to be on.), can connect with three seperate BT phones and displays their phonebooks, and has voice control and dialing from the phonebook or the CK3100. Voice control is seperate for each different BT phone that is connected.

Yes, as mwarren states it's the display on the CK3100 that's worth the extra $$ - plus the integration with the factory sound and speakers. It's invaluable to me to be able to see who's calling without answering the phone while I'm driving.

Just an additional fyi: my parrot system makes voice announcement of inbound caller if that caller is in my phones address book. Beats looking at any display.

Note: I have my phones set to automatic answer so I don't really screen numbers inbound, but I could change that if desired.

have had my parrot installed since early this year and I am really pleased with the performance.

Really? Is that a function of the phone you have paired with it? What brand/type of phone are you using? Mine's a Samsung A900 (on Sprint PCS).

Re: Parrot CK3100 Install (with pics)

Hello...

Just got my CK3100 & Crutchfield Metra Harness in the mail. Hooked up the harness to get it ready to go, but my question is. The yellow wire that comes off of the " mute " cable of the parrot, you know, the one that has a quick connect on it ?? Where does that plug into. I looked through the book but didn't see. Please let me know. Also, what about the other extra wires on the Parrot Harness ( line + & line - ). Did you guys just tape them off ?? please let me know, I want to get rolling on this thing.

Thanx
Chap

If you use the harness, the yellow mute wire is not used at all. Just leave it out. You should, probably, put some electric tape over the tip. That is it! You are done! Where are you planning to mount the LCD display?

The rest of the wires shouldn't be used as well. Just tape it and leave it. BTW, is it a Pit Bull or American Bulldog?

Re: Parrot CK3100 Install (with pics)

We used bracket provided with the kit. You know the small 90 degree bracket with red sticky tape on the base. Mounted the bracket to the left inner wall of NAA tray. You should cut off something like 1/4 of an inch of the base of the bracket to make it sit lower inside the tray. Otherwise Parrots's black round button rubbs against the console when you close NAA. Nothing major, but I worried about pushing this button inadvertently. It seem to be working fine like this. Of course, it is not an OEM install...
