Subwoofer for Ridgeline

I have read everyones challenges on creating and installing a proper subwoofer in the Ridgeline. I went through the same thing with my '99 CRV before I found a JL Stealthbox. If fit perfectly and it really hit.

I checked their site and saw they didn't offer one but thought I would drop them a line if they might be working on one. Here is the response:

Good morning Todd,

Yes, we're working on a Ridgeline Stealthbox right now. It will house a single 10W3V3 in a sealed downfiring configuration under the passenger side rear seat. Good luck, and thanks for your interest in Stealthbox!
Sincerely,
Don Vertrees

I have an ¹06 Honda Ridgeline. It has an OEM built-in subwoofer which does not perform very well. Do you have any plans on creating a Stealthbox for that vehicle?

I had a Stealthbox in my ¹99 CRV that was great!!!!

Thanks for the great products,

Tschirtz

Re: Subwoofer for Ridgeline

Thanks for the info tschirtz, that's definitely some good news. Sounds like a great way to improve the bass without any carpentry skills to build your own box. I'll be anxious to see it completed and ready for sale.

Re: Subwoofer for Ridgeline

I'm not saying that they won't have one soon, but I received the following reply from JL Audio in June of last year:

"Good morning Joe,
Yes, we hope to build a Stealthbox model for the Ridgeline sometime this year. Not sure of the timing yet as we're currently buried in other projects. Keep in touch, we'll be sure it's worth your wait!
Sincerely,
Don Vertrees"

Re: Subwoofer for Ridgeline

good topic

i dropped them a line last in feb as well; they said it would be available in 3-4 months

i'm excited that they chose to house a 10w3v3, i would never buy it with any lower models

damn, i would be even happier it they can do 2 10s instead of just one

i'm getting one for sure...

Re: Subwoofer for Ridgeline

I decided to ask JL Audio about the delays... here's what they said as of today:

"Good morning Joe,
The new Ridgeline Stealthbox is being performance tested today. With any luck we'll have availability within a month or so.
Thanks,
Don Vertrees"

Re: Subwoofer for Ridgeline

I found out today that Audio Enhancers, a huge pre-fab speaker box company, makes a generic speaker box for the Ridgeline. It is for two down-firing 10" woofers. The box is either the HR-130 or HR-230. Their website calls it the HR-230. The catalog says it is the HR-130. Here's a list of Audio Enhancer dealers. I don't have a price for this box.

I do have a picture:

Here's the page out of their catalog:

I actually built my own subwoofer enclosure that fires down under the back seat and holds one diamond 10" and it sounds pretty good. There is another site to that carrys these boxes for 2 10" or 2 12" which ever you choose
