Re: Light Replacement Guide

Has anyone else had any problems getting the screws out of the light covers in the bed? The Phillips screw driver just turns, nothing happens. Striped?! The truck is brand new. I thought i would see about replacing bulbs with LED's were I could.

Re: Light Replacement Guide

Anyone help me with removing the tail light lense cover?

I have the screws out and trying to pull in straight out toward the rear of the truck rather than to the side and it will not release.

Any thoughts?

Thanks, Brad

You have to pull straight back, there are two rubber groumets that hold the assy.
Wiggle from top and bottom with increasing pressure, it will come out. Hope this helps.

Re: Light Replacement Guide

Thanks very much for posting this info, Keith. My '08 RTL is only 10 weeks old, but one of these days, I'll need to replace a bulb or two. Got this link in my "Farorites." Much appreciated!

Re: Light Replacement Guide

Thanks for the help. I reread your post and just applied a little more force with one of my KTC removal tools and it came out fine.
