Fog Lights...worth it?

Hello all
I'm new here ...just picked up a used '07 RTS and was thinking about putting in the factory fog lights. Just wondering if it's worth all the trouble ...do they make that much of a difference? Would I be better off with aftermarket?
Thank you in advance

If, and mean if, you actually use the fog lights for their intended purpose, then the factory OEM fogs are pretty good on the Ridgeline.

Re: Fog Lights...worth it?

I have the factory fog lights. given the chance, I would not go that route again. They are overpriced, and when one breaks (and one will) you can not buy a lens, you have to buy a new lamp. installed as per spec, they are useless in heavy fog because they only work with headlights on. This causes lheadlights to reflect glare off the fog. I like the pics on this site of the piaa's installed by nevadagarth. that is the way i would go next time

Where were you last week when I asked the same question in this thread?

Mine are on order.

My little two cents, I think the "fogs" would be better and more functional if they had a yellow lense, but the would change the look on the front of the 'Ridge.

Re: Fog Lights...worth it?

Thanks for the info.
Fog gets pretty thick around here...I think the way to do it is both factory and aftermarket. That way I can have a "keep me busy" project in the garage for a few days.
I will also be putting a switch where that annoying blank is next to the Cruise and VSA off buttons are.
I hate not having!
