Auto Day - Night Mirror Install

I have an RTL w/Navi--so there's no auto day-night mirror. I've noticed some "reasonable" prices from several dealers...so, I might just add one to my R-L.

Big questions:

1. Who's done it?
2. What kinds of issues/problems need to be addressed?

Many thanks!

Re: Auto Day - Night Mirror Install

Easy job to do. Basically switch mirrors, drop the headliner, find the 'extra' connector tucked up to the left of the upper console area (above the left sunvisor), and tuck away the old wire from the 'standard' compass mirror (if you have it). The 'kit' comes with 2 different size plastic wire covers, but I reused the one that was from the old mirror. Instructions are here if you haven't seen them yet. Only 'issue' I had was that the instructions seemed to read that the wire for the old mirror gets disconnected & removed, but it goes straight to the harness & so has to just be tucked away.

My Dad liked the mirror so much I got the same one for his Accord - it's the same mirror, just ordered a different attachment kit...
