Overdrive D3 Button/ Broke Tips to fix ?
Well I was being curious one day and wanted to see if the Drive selector/Shifter would be something easy to replace. So I twisted it off and in the process pulled the two wires out from the tip part of the selector. I was kinda expecting Honda to give me a little extra slack in the wires but that was not the case. Now i'm trying to avoid taking it in to the dealer for something that would seem like a quick fix. I have tried long neddle nose pliers but they are not deep enuff to plug those wires back in.

You sound like a programmer for Microsoft! There moto sounds the same as yours. If it ain't broke, fix it till it is!

Get a little screwdriver and pry the end of the shifter off. Really!

Exactly why I limit my curiosity to questions like: "What's under the air cleaner cover?" and "I wonder what happens when I pull this little lever with a gas pump symbol on it?"
Disconnecting those wires is what I call "collateral damage".
