Talking How does factory install brush guard?

Wondering what the installation of the factory brush guard requires. Just ordered an 06 steel blue RTL with sunroof including brush guard among other accessories. In the future if I choose to remove it completely, or replace it with one of more substantial strength, will there be any visible evidence remaining on the body once i remove it (drilled holes, etc.)? Is it a big job to remove it?
Can't wait for my truck to arrive, but in the interim I'm getting no work done b/c my laptop seems to be stuck on the ROC website!

Factory doesn't install it, dealer does...and you could probably remove it with a swift kick. Still better than the deathtrap "substantial" ones imo.

Here's a link to the installation instructions:

Looks like there's 10 holes that have to be drilled into your bumper to mount it.

Re: How does factory install brush guard?

I did it. It was not hard if you are handy. Just follow instructions. On the inside of the bumper it is marked. Make sure you drill the correct holes. There are markings for all the accessories on the inside of the bumper. Oh ya, did I say make sure you follow the instructions???
