Re: Trunk Dividers - DIY in 10 minutes

Loved the DIY trunk deviders. I looked at the trunk on my '08 Ridgeline, and figured I could make a trunk devider for "0." Got a piece of 1/8" plywood from my scrap pile, and cut it 21" at the top, tapered down to 20" at the bottom. I had to do some slight modifications on my sander, but it ended up fitting perfectly. I painted it with some rattle can black spray paint, and it actually looks nice in the trunk. Total cost.....$0. Keeps the groceries from rolling around in the trunk.

BTW, I got a trunk carpet from Wal-Mart for $3.00. One of those cheap small carpets that you'd put in front of your deck door. It doesn't fit...lengthwise...perfectly, but the width is a perfect fit. If you need the dimensions, contact me at .... tcaperton@ec.rr.com

Glad you liked it. As I pointed out, using one divider leaves a perfect space for a cooler

That is too funny....Thanks for the laugh!

I'm sure it hit me so funny because I've done the same thing.

Heck, I started this thread and I read it that way half the time! Most of the time, though, read it "Drunk Drivers -- DUI in 10 minutes"...

Re: Trunk Dividers - DIY in 10 minutes

Made my first divider today. Worked out really well. Too cold out (-16F, -45 F with windchill) to do a proper job (painting etc.), but at least it's a start.
