Re: Clean or replace your own cabin filter, improve air flow & save a bundle

While doing this recently, I broke the little "head" or hook for the soft-drop arm (as I call it). I need to get a replacement part, but I'm too poor (if it is expensive) to replace it.

Re: Clean or replace your own cabin filter, improve air flow & save a bundle

So I just followed the steps. One thing I noticed, the first time you pull the tabs from the glovebox, they are EXTREMELY tight. I had to come back in and double check as I thought I was about to break something, but all was well

GREAT steps!!!!!!!!!!!! you made it easy!

oh yeah, I need a new filter

Re: Clean or replace your own cabin filter, improve air flow & save a bundle

Autozone and the advanced auto parts near me didn't have the filter...so I was forced to use Napa...no big deal it was only $21 I think.

I am going to change the Engine air filter today. I had to order that one.

Re: Clean or replace your own cabin filter, improve air flow & save a bundle

See below for cheap cabin air filters. Buy 2 or more and they're only 15 bucks. I bought I think 6 last time. They fit multiple vehicles, Acura TL, Honda Accords, etc and of course the Ridgeline.

For the engine air filter, get a K&N, last filter you'll have to buy. (No please don't hazz me for mentioning K&N as some of you don't like them)

Re: Clean or replace your own cabin filter, improve air flow & save a bundle

I think I will just buy as I go...but that's good to know. I have no problem buying locally if it's not much difference in price.

I am happy to know they fit other vehicles...I wonder if autozone had the airfilter, but it didn't list under the RL.

I think I got my air filter at an Autozone... Cabin air filter I ordered OEM through Bernardi Honda. I know, I probably paid more for an OEM....
