I just got back from a hunting trip a few weeks ago and thought I would share my experience with you guys.
First, the history. This is the first 4WD vehicle that I have ever owned. We got it because we needed a truck (Discovered this after hauling sod in our Honda Accord) and we needed something that would work better for us off road (Honda Accords do not work too well on muddy dirt roads). My in-laws have a Ridgeline too (I sold them on it, but couldn't afford one myself at the time). We had been hunting in it many times and loved how well it rode off road. Well I finally got one myself and we took it to Fort Hunter Liggett for a weekend hunting trip (only bagged a few quail and a duck for those interested).
By the end of the weekend all I could say is "I love this truck". We took it down some roads that were pretty hairy, ones we could tell others had backed away from and it handled everything like a champ! We had it on two wheels a couple of times (Front Driver, rear passenger) and there was no flex in the body at all. We went through sand water and it just took anything we threw at it. The only complaint that I have is the detparture angle. If it was not for the tow package i think my bumper would still be on the trail somewhere

.
I didn't take any photos, but the next time I am out I will make sure I do. It was awesome. It may not be the greatest 4x4 ever, but it took me through the hairiest stuff I am willing to in a $30k truck. But combine that with the smooth ride that I get on road and Honda sure had created an awsome truck. An excellent truck for a Gen 1.
