Question Ridge in the snow

Hi folks...they're calling for some serious snow this Tuesday here in Maryland...any advice as for "special precautions" to take when driving?

Thanks!

Stay home with hot Rum and a fire in the fireplace.

Don't get mad at every other driver on the road for getting in your way.

Just remember that you can accelerate better than you can stop when it's slick out and don't let yourself get caught in the "tank" mentality that seems to infect so many folks who buy full-size SUVs and SUTs.

You've got one of the most snow-capable rides on the planet but that doesn't mean you shouldn't be extra cautious and careful, particularly until you get better acquainted with what your truck can do. Here's a suggestion, find an empty parking lot that hasn't been plowed and "experiment" a bit with what your truck is capable of. ENJOY!

Heh-heh! I just did this a couple weeks ago in my work's parking lot before anybody else got there on "Start-up night". I figured a little bit of playing around in the empty lot before I unlocked the doors would be both fun and a learning experience.
What I learned was that the Ridgeline isn't that much fun to drive in a snow-covered lot. It handles too well!

Try it... you'll see what I mean.

Hmmmm... why didn't I try that!

I didn't think of it at the time, but that would have been the "smart" thing to do. It would've taught me more, and as you say, it might have been more "funner"!

Will it enable "doughnuts"? I guess I'll just have to wait 'til the next snowstorm to find out. I think I heard the weatherman mention that one's on the way to PA this week! WooHoo!

I wouldn't call it so much a doughnut so much as a 4 wheel power slide/drift maneuver. It's even funner than a doughnut and is more controllable.
