Rocks vs. Gibson exaust

Todays off-roading adventure was a lot of fun. I took the Ridge on some pretty hard stuff back in Redington pass near Tucson. After complaining all day about draging my muffler, I finally fixed the problem.

Actually, not mine... I just kept on going. The exaust came off at the flange anyway. Only a bent hanger was the only "damage". Other than that I will fix it tommorrow at the shop while I am looking into making some skid plates.

Re: Rocks vs. Gibson exaust

That's fortunate. Hope you didn't burn a valve though with that short exhaust on the return trip.

Does that myth still happen? I had about 4 ft left beyond the final cat, so I'm sure it is ok.

Sure it does. But with 4 feet hanging, you should be good. (I'll just leave it at that - batta bing!)

I was very impressed with the video, until I saw the exhaust pipe laying on the trail. Sorry! Are you running a lift kit on your truck?

Yes, I am running a Truxxx kit and larger tires.

I am glad that dropping the exaust was done at the end of the day after I had gone through much harder stuff.
