Big Time Ridgeline Save

So I was driving to work this morning along a 1.5 lane country road in about 6 inches of fresh snow. Temeprature ws right on 0 celsius so things were pretty slick...At a blind bend a school bus suddenly appeared driving rapidly. With so little room we were going to hit...I chose the ditch rather then the school bus. Had to steer wide and felt the back end get loose. I even began to go over the necessary things that would be involve: call insurer etc. Man that truck just stuck to the road...the dash was flashing yellow and it was making a racket at all four ends...slide corrected and I drove right by...I passed two vehicles in the next couple of miles in the ditch. Once again the total package of the Ridgeline proves its worth.

Re: Big Time Ridgeline Save

WOW! Great story. I've been looking forward to snow to see how the RL reacts. Hopefully all my experiences with the VSA will be #1- planned occurances and #2- not involving a school bus and or ditch.

Glad to hear that nobody was hurt.

Yes the RL does well in traction management... Be sure to really test out he RL in inclement weather. I tried all the features; VSA on/Off,, VTM lock in R, 1, 2 with VSA on/off, quick take off’s and especially quick stopping.... Nothing like wondering if the RL is falling apart with all that crunching......

Re: Big Time Ridgeline Save

LOL thats great! I heard the same noises the first time I took it though deep sugar sand. No flashing lights though and I was only going maybe 5mph. So far I've tried it with VSA on and VSA off but I have yet to use the VTM.
