Our rails do interfere slightly with the trunk opening. You will be able to open your trunk 21 5/8" from the bed floor. I hope that helps! Thanks, Eric Last edited by Pace Edwards : 08-13-2007 at 11:22 AM. Reason: SP |

Re: Pace Edwards Greetings!
It has been a few months since I have posted and I wanted to get some feedback on how the covers are working? Please let me know good or bad your opinions for we may be able to apply your feedback into improvements.
Thanks, Eric |

Re: Pace Edwards Greetings!
Hello Eric
I purchased the FMJ from Real Truck a few months ago. Prior to that I a had the Bascickoncepts tonneau ( a dismal failure). The FMJ is a pretty good product and in my opinion has a finished look that is superior to all the others. I do have some issues as follows: 1. The rear seal on mine does not seat up against the tailgate. There is a 1/4" gap. This allows a significant amount of water to enter during heavy rain or highway driving on wet roads, 2. Both rear rail caps on my FMJ popped off in the first week of ownership. I am unsure how they should be re-attached. 3. I live on an acreage with Fir trees. The pine needles rain down on the cover on a regular basis. I have notice the sweep on the cannister is not keeping the needles out when the tonneau is retracted. I will have clean this out at some point. I have started to sweep off the FMJ prior to opening. 4. The opening mechanism is not smooth. It regularly gets stuck in the open position. I have the pull the cover against the last stop to get it to snap closed. 5. The rear rail mounting screws are rusting. Regards, Gary |
