Lower Brush Guard Trim Problem

Does anyone out there having any problems with the lower brush guard trim comming unglued?

I had a Lower Brush Guard installed last July 2006 and the crome trim is comming unglued from the bumper trim... I took my Ridgeline into the Honda dealer where I had it installed and they put a new one on. But I just was wondering if anyone else had this same issue.

I like the way it looks on the truck, but its not like you can just take it off and forget about it. Since it costs about an arm...hehehe. $$$ plus the install.

I also told the dealer that they should check into this since it may cause problems in the future and I told them maybe the engineers can fix this problem.

Thanks and yes I still love my little truck it is great!

Re: Lower Brush Guard Trim Problem

I've had mine installed on the truck since one year and no problems with chrome delamination. Sounds to me like a one-time factory defect.I do however have problems with people backing into me and scratching the charcoal-colored paint on the sides of the chrome lower bumper trim.

Now where can I find the paint to touch-up? Dealer says N/A...

Re: Lower Brush Guard Trim Problem

I was looking to remove the chrome trim piece, but I was unsure what it looked like underneath.

Were you able to see what it looked like?

Pleasing to look at? (any holes or markes left behind)
