Re: Bed Overload Light Flickers on/off with road bumps
Hi Saam
First of all , welcome to the roc and second, I did not know that our trucks had an overload light, you should post that in the thread, " things you may not have noticed about your ridge ".

Re: Bed Overload Light Flickers on/off with road bumps
If our truck had it, it should have gone off on me a time or two.

Re: Bed Overload Light Flickers on/off with road bumps
A "weight overload" light is a new one on me too. I am sure that there have been a couple of times when I would have expected to see it on, but where or what is it? Could it be the tailgate-ajar light that Saam is referring to? I have caught my bed mat and a towel in my tailgate and have caused the light to come on.

Re: Bed Overload Light Flickers on/off with road bumps
I am pretty sure that the light he is seeing is the tail gate open light flickering because it needs an extra shim.
Start your truck up and pull on your tailgate on the passenger side while it is in park. If I am correct, the light you are speaking of on the dashboard should flicker.

Re: Bed Overload Light Flickers on/off with road bumps
Whoops,
Sorry if i wasn't more clear. The light is on the left, is in red, and it shows a truck in profile with a larger box shaped object in the bed. I'll check out the actual name for the light in the morning, I just guessed what it meant from the appearance of the icon. Either way, it spontaneously stopped doing what it was doing, but I would still like to figure the thing out. Thanks everyone.
