How the truck fares is not the point, but what the occupants will probably be does rhyme with "trucked." Or does the "trucked" denote the occupants?

Okay, I know several have asked this question in previous threads.

Can you add a Factory Navi system to an RTL, or does it involve total wiring so it would not be cost effective?

Welcome aboard. I agree with you that changing my oil every 3500 miles makes sense. Just wondering, do I reset the maintenance minder after each change or will I effect other maintenance codes since I'm changing so early?

I think it is hard to predict, as Honda has obviously not crash tested with the additional parts on. IMO... I don't see it compromising the safety enough to discourage people from buying it.

I would reset the maintenance minder each time. If it says oil life 60%... set it back to 100%. In all truth you won't be using the MM much at all, but it would be annoying to have it say "change oil soon" if you just did it like a week or two ago.

The answer is anything is possible. It would not be cost effective at all. You would spend less trading in your RTL for one with Navi. So my recommendation is trade up to one with Navi in a couple of years..... Two or three years from now who knows what new and exciting features the net gen of Nav units will have - maybe WiFi....

Or you can go aftermarket. Much more affordable.

THere have been alot of comments about the wipers not working when it snows. Even after you clean out the snow from the area where the wipers sit. Being in a snow area as you are, have you seen this and if so what is your advise to keep the wipers working in a snow storm.

Now for my own vehicle.....
Keep in mind that I get parts and fluids at cost and usually free.

I'll plan on changing the oil and filter every 3000-3500 miles. I'll probably use conventional oil rather than synthetic.(you change oil because it gets dirty - not because it wears out)

ATF will probably be every 30,000 - more often if I start towing with it.

VTM-4 fluid every 15k

BZZZZZZZT! Wrong Answer. Don't talk to us from the perspective of a tech with access to low cost/no cost tools and parts. Think of use as average Joes/Joetta's who have to pay full price for this stuff. I would find it more informational to know that if you were paying full price you still recommend 3000 mile changes with dino rather than syn, etc.

PS: Welcome aboard. You're in the hot box now

Yeah... what theLine said...

Makes perfect sense to me.

Hotbox? It ain't even warm in here yet!

I'm enjoying reading the informed answers... I think HondaTech's presence "in the room" will make for some interesting banter.
Not that we don't already have some very astute and knowledgeable members that I've come to trust as having "the right answers"...

BTW... I'm still wondering why HondaTech decided to buy a Ridgeline...
