Re: Thought I was ready, but you stopped me dead in my tracks

I would definitely buy it again. '06 Silver RTL with 12,000 miles. I've had one issue and it will be fixed under warranty this week. (Sqeaky steering wheel which really isn't that big of a deal).

As far as power and towing, this winter I saw a nice young lady who wiped out in the ice into a median. She was ok but the car was stuck in ice and mud. It was a pontiac g6. So I took my hook and put it on her frame and pulled her out without too much trouble. Actually I was a little scared I wouldn't be able to do it but there was PLENTY of power, which surprised me (pleasantly).

I've owned Cheveys, Mercs, BMW's, and Lexuses. This is the best car/truck I've owned to date.

It's your decision I know but if you were someone I knew and cared about, I'd tell you to

Go get it.

Talking Re: Thought I was ready, but you stopped me dead in my tracks

I now have 1500 miles on my 2007 RTL with Navi. Here's my report:
I have no leaks or creaks, no rattles or bumping noises, no steering column squeaks, no malfunctioning electronics, no cracks in my tires, no paint chipping off, no "hesitation" problems, no alignment problems, no windshield wiper problems, no windshield problems, and I got 21 MPG on a recent highway trip.
I have no scratches in my bed (and no aftermarket bedliner), the luggage rack is secure, the soft tonneau cover is great, the navigation system is really slick, the stock exhaust sounds just fine, as does the audio system.
I didn't find the truck to be outrageously expensive, and the dealer has been very outstanding so far (new owner open house complete with doorprizes and brownies, free state annual inspections, free loaner cars, free carwashes when car is serviced, and an indoor staging area for service dropoff ).
I traded in my beloved Volvo S80 T6 for this truck. And I was very surprised that the truck is actually quieter on PA's mostly crappy highway surfaces than the Volvo was. The truck rides like a Lexus 400 I once drove.
Yes, I'd buy another Ridgeline!

Re: Thought I was ready, but you stopped me dead in my tracks

I only have 580 miles on mine so far........mileage has been better than expected. 19 on 1st tank. Around 18 on this tank so far. Quiet, no leaks. Subjected it to pressure washing yesterday after reading these threads!

Can I flog it like my Tacoma?? No. Is it smoother and quieter? Yes. More comfy too. Just can't have everything in one vehicle, but this comes close.

Cool Re: Thought I was ready, but you stopped me dead in my tracks

I am new to this forum as well, but have been in the automotive and marine industry for years. I used to follow the corvette forum as I was involved in corvettes for many years. I have to say one I am impressed with how passionette everyone here is about their ridgeline and 2 how great of a site this is.
I just purchased an 07 RTX silver last week, only 350 miles so far. I traded in my second F-150 super crew, and this last one was loaded and lifted and a beautiful truck. Since the ridge came out I have had me eye on it, but wanted to give it a year or two to shake out. Well I have to say I am 100 percent satisfied with this purchase. The handling, ride, comfort, and features the ridgeline gives you along with the mileage can not even compare to any other truck. I do agree, "no truck" is perfect and there always be small flaws, symptons or problems showing up, but all in all this truck can not be beat. I have learned a lot from this forum and look forward to learning more, and hearing from others peoples experiences.
Bottom line is if your on the fence, test drive it again, and if you really want it, "get it", you'll have no regrets!! Trust me I was on the fence and did not want to let my big Ford go, but my wife helped talk me into it, and glad she did, and now Im not even looking back! We saw it loaded on the truck going to the auction yesterday, and I could not be happier than to see it go away!!

Re: Thought I was ready, but you stopped me dead in my tracks

Have had our Ridgeline since April 2005. Have just passed 24,000 miles.
YES I WOULD PURCHASE AGAIN. DID NOT HAVE ANY OF THE EXPERIENCES OF LEAKS, RATTLES, ETC.
REAL CURIOUS ABOUT HIDDEN COSTS???? WHAT IS THAT ALL ABOUT?

NOT ONLY IS THE RIDELINE GREAT BUT MICHELIN JUST REPLACED ALL 4 TIRES BECAUSE THEY HAD CRACKS OR DRY ROTTING BETWEEN THE TREADS.
$194.99 TIRE COST ME 47.74 TO REPLACE.

I SEE NEW RIDGELINES EVERY DAY NOW. I WAS FIRST IN MY CITY BACK IN
2005. I HAVE YET TO TALK TO A OWNER THAT HAS EXPERIENCED ANY OF THE VERY FEW PROBLEMS THAT HAVE BEEN POSTED.

Re: Thought I was ready, but you stopped me dead in my tracks

I have a 07 Silver RTX. I have had no problems with the truck in the three months that I have owned it. I love the truck and the special features like the trunk and the folding rear seats. My only issue is the gas milage. I have yet to get better than 15 mpg and I drive like an old man. I get even less when I pull my boat. I really thought that I would get better than that. I am hoping that after a few thousand miles that the engine will be good and broken in and my gas milage will improve. Other than that, great truck, incredible ride and it gives my family another option to travel instead of the wife's minivan. The trunk will hold all of our luggage for an extended weekend at the beach. Good luck on your decision but if you buy the Honda you will be satisfied.

I am (was?) inches from pulling the trigger on a 07 RTL (red, no navi), but I've got some serious concerns now - the leak thing is right at the top.

Consistent posts about rattles, static on radios, and hidden expenses force me to reconsider my Honda-takes-care-of-you assumption (My familiy has owned nothing but honda/accura for 10+ years)...I realize that the first model year is always dangerous, but we're past that now. I also realize a lot of the threads were started in 05, but I also see recent entries that indicate problems are not going away...At the same time you guys/gals seem to love your trucks.

I need to hear from some '07 owners and your experiences, pro and con, and have a direct question for all you '05 and '06 owners: "Would you buy it again? Why?"

Talk me back into it...

RossC
I own a 2006 RTL w/Navi and would definitely buy again. Love it more than life! 20K miles and no problems. The only thing I am dissappointed in is the gas mileage. After 20K miles I still get 15MPG if I'm lucky!

I'm in northern Ohio and this thing kicks butt in the snow. Hauled a 16 foot box trailer the other day...didn't even know it was there. Overall, great truck!!!
5800 miles now. Hauled a dual axel dump trailer with 2 yards of top soil on the first trip and 4 yards of bark mulch on the second. Still LOVE this truck...
