Re: Thought I was ready, but you stopped me dead in my tracks
I have an 06 RTL with 46000 miles. I have had ZERO problems. I love my truck and love showing the great features to those who haven't seen one before. I would buy another in a heartbeat.

Re: Thought I was ready, but you stopped me dead in my tracks
I've had an 06 for one year now. 17K miles and not one issue. I would definitely buy another one. My main concern is will Honda stay committed to this segment. I don't think it's been a "home-run" for them, but definitely an excellent first attempt at a true truck.
Pros: Excellent handling/ride and braking Excellent payload capacity. Decent performance for its class Excellent snow handling. Decent off road - Logging roads, gravel steep climbs Cons: Relatively poor mileage compared to V8's in it's class I'd advocate heavier duty suspension and materials (I hope Honda builds from passion and does not turn this into "design by consumer group". Any truck in this class should come with certain std features that Honda makes you pay exhorbitant prices for ie fog lamps, mud guards, trailer hitch. Again.. definitely would buy another one - - I think its a great value compared to the Chevy Avalanche. |

Re: Thought I was ready, but you stopped me dead in my tracks
I put on about 65,000 miles a year and have owned about 15 different vehicles from cars to SUVs. This is my 3 truck. I tow a 4200lb trailer/boat through the mountains and have had no issues pulling during, before, or after. I too have a fully loaded 07 and by far could not think of a better vehicle to own for daily driving. I just wish they would come up with a tent for the bed of the truck for the monthly camping I do.

Re: Thought I was ready, but you stopped me dead in my tracks
FWIW, I traded an 06 Taco for an 06 RTL and think I did good. In 40k, I've only had one problem, frozen windshield washer fluid and the dealer fixed it free. Seats aren't as comfy as Toyota's is my only grump.

Re: Thought I was ready, but you stopped me dead in my tracks
We've had our '07 RTX since last July and at just over 16,000 miles we have had no problems.
The only real complaint I can think of at the moment is that the paint seems to chip easy but doesn't keep me from loving it more and more every day.
