2nd Battery in a week in new RTL

Well a few weeks ago, we purchased a brand new RTL with NAVI. We had the optional fog lights installed a week later and they did something with their alarm system.

We drove the car that week a few times but the following week I rode my bike :-) except on Friday last when I needed to drive. DEAD battery!!!!

Jumped the truck with my trusty CRV last Friday and got it to the dealer. They ran tests etc, found dead battery. Great fixed it in 20 minutes and I was off home.

Drove on Saturday a bit and then Sunday a bit. Then Monday thru Thursday, the truck sat in the garage.... Last night needed the truck, guess what DEAD battery :-(.

I jumped it again this morning and took it to the dealer. they can keep the damn thing until it is fixed. I am sick of wasting my time.

What is going on?

Did you leave the dome light ON (or something else that doesn't rely on the key)?

Stuart, you mentioned something in your post about "them" doing something with "their" alarm system. If it was a dealer installed alarm system, I'm thinking there may be something wrong with "their" installation of the alarm.

Just a thought.

UPDATE regarding 2nd dead battery:

Apparently our Lo Jack was installed incorrectly. It was always on rather than in sleep mode all the time. At this time, they are working on it and should have it done for tonight.

PS, I make sure everything is off all the time now.
