Passenger Door Un-Lock

Have tried to get the passenger and rear doors to unlock when shift lever is put into park. The Drivers side door unlocks when shifter is put into park. The doors will lock when I get to 9mph, per owners manual. Am I doing something wrong or do I need to see dealer ? I have had truck for 3 weeks and can not let my passengers OUT. Please Help them !!!!!!!!

Re: Passenger Door Un-Lock

Owners manual will explain how to reset the doors. there are several ways to set the doors for unlocking and locking. Read the manual careful, so to understand. I had problems my first time reading the quick guide. I read the owners manual and fixed my problem. I set my doors to lock and unlock when shifting into park. On the back doors, don't forget about the child safty lock. The switch for that is near the door latch in the door.

I just bought my 2006 Ridgeline this weekend. Used, but only has 15K miles. I have the same issue with the passenger door lock. Annoying for my wife when she has to manually unlock the door to get out. Looks like it does the same for the back door as well.

Unless the previous owner updated the locks, a pre 9/05 built Ridgeline will need a new A12 modulator. Try programming according to manual to see.

Re: Passenger Door Un-Lock

You can also program the locks to be fully manual.
