Can I get a RL replacement key by mail with VIN and key code?

Here's the rest of the story. Honda dealer in Clarksville In. was $170. $80 for key $80 to program +tax/shop fee.

Louisville Honda dealer off Hurstbourne Ln was $135. $48 for key/$86.50 to program.

Louisville Honda dealer on Dixie Highway was $90. $45 for key/ $39 to program+ shop fee and tax. $90.18 otd. I bought from them. Took about 30 minutes and I'm good to go.

Also the gentleman who had a salesman tell him the key charges while he drives, go back to the dealership and tell that guy he is an idot. It does no such thing!!

You mean I don't need to rotate my keys monthly to keep them all charged up? I set my calender to send me a reminder. LOL

My Ridge's salesman said the key gets charged while it is in the ignition. He suggested rotating keys to keep all charged.

Could I just connect them directly to the battery once in a while?

There's 2 programmings right? One for the key, and one for the keyfob? Can we do both ourselves?

Short story - - - NO.
You can Program the FOB.
Mr. Stealership has to program the Immoblizer. ( my stealer charges $90.00). what rip-off for about 15 min. of tech time.

I put a little hose from my ignition hole to a little hole in my gas tank. This enables that same magic slot to fill my gas tank as I drive. My truck produces an extra 7 gallons of gas all by itself every week!!

ROFL I did see in the owners manual where there is a battery in the key. I guess after two years it is possibly time to change the batteries?
