Rack installation photos and hints
Just installed the roof rack. It took about 2 hours (I work slow).
Some photos The second to last shows how the instructions tell you to remove the clips from the studs. DON'T DO IT THAT WAY. Instead grasp the clip as I show in the last photo and tilt the pliers away from the stud slightly and they pop off easy as pie. The way shown in the instructions is a nightmare. The instructions tell you to install one clip of the front section of trim even thought there are two studs available. This is because there is a plastic end cap on the trim piece and two clips won't fit.
However if you use a razor to cut the end hump off one of the clips. (this hump is the piece shown with the pliers pinching it above) the you can double the hold keeping the trim piece from flying off in a hurricane.
