I think Grey would look nice with this rig. Nice airplane! What Frequency do you communicate with the plane? There are some freq in the ham bands 50MHz that are used. Just curious. I haul a Goldwing with mine and it pulls fine. Here is a photo.

Good luck and well come aboard.

Re: What color Ridgeline to haul this trailer?

I thought of hauling it to the dealer to compare the colors but right now I pull it with an 03 caravan (tranny re-build waiting to happen). I think the silver may be too light for it. I am leaning tword black.(did I say this already) One of the issues I have with black is dirt. The road to the flying field for the airplanes is 1.5miles of dirt dusty roads. I think I will be washing my truck every time I fly with black.

The planes are powered by 150cc 2 stroke gas motors putting out about 19hp. The are built specifically for model airplanes. There are some cool videos of them flying on the other site I frequent www.flyinggiants.com The planes usually weigh about 40-45lbs and the engines put out about 90+ lbs of thrust !!

Full scale is of no intrest to me. When I crash a model it only hurts the wallet but at leat I can live to tell about it.

Re: What color Ridgeline to haul this trailer?

We usually fly on 75 mhz there are a few ham band guys still around. The latests thing and newist on the block is 2.4 ghz. This is new for radio controll airplanes but it eliminates the problems associated with channels and someone acidently turning on on your frequency. With 2.4ghz that is a non issue as there are no set channels.

Why not buy the color truck that you prefer

and then paint the trailer with a matching color.

Re: What color Ridgeline to haul this trailer?

I like the idea of silver with black or grey graphics on both the trailer and the truck. Silver would show the dirt and dust much less, too bad green wasn't a choice, my green hardly shows the dirt, it seems to just blend right in, I think the silver would be the same.

I vote black. The silver is prolly a bit too light.

How's the milage pulling the enclosed trailers?Back to the question, hot climate buy white, lotsa time buy black. All the other colors are great though.Lady Ridge can put some striping together that would realy make the combo sizzle.

Re: What color Ridgeline to haul this trailer?

I vote Nimbus Gray. I have the dark cherry and it's a pain to keep clean. I assume black is the same.

More importantly, post a link to the schedule for these fly-ins. That looks really cool. I'm sure you're done until spring, but I'd like to know where I can check these things out in the air.
