Re: Ridgeline's can tow (photos)

I didn't get any photos of this one, but I had an interesting tow today. We had a quick moving snow storm that dumped a few inches late this afternoon. As I was leaving my office and headed down off the ridge I came across a lady who had slid off the road into a ditch. The guy in front of me had a chain and I had my Ridgeline. In seconds I had her pulled out of the ditch and headed home. My Ridgeline never slipped or hesitated. It's great to have a vehicle that can come to the rescue.

I carry a tow strap just in case I ever need to pull anyone out of the ditch, or off the interstate.

I've never pulled a stranger out of trouble though. They either already have help or I'm not in a position where I could help out (usually running late for something). I'm also a bit wary to help out though ever since last year my dad was pulling a guy out of a ditch with his brand new Silverado and after he was back on the road the guy let his car roll right into my dad's rear bumper as he was getting out to unhook the tow strap. A nice big dent in the bumper, that's the thanks my dad got for helping this guy out. All he had to say was "oops".

Question Re: Ridgeline's can tow (photos)

One of your pictures shows the Ridgeline pulling a fairly large travel trailer (KODIAK - I think). What is the dry weight of that trailer? It looks way over the 5000 lb towing capacity of the Ridgeline. Just wondering because I'm looking for a trailer and dealers are telling me not to purchase anything with a dry weight of more that, say, 3,800 lbs. Comments?

With regards to belltech, are you referring to the Honda Ridgeline Belltech Coilover Kit Part number 21002 with fully Adjustable Rebound and Compression Dampening? I do want a set of these as soon as they become available.

Can you find a part number for the new swaybar for us? Two of my best friends work in their engineering department and nether one had a clue about a sway bar. Thanks.

I think it's about 9000 ft, or pretty close to it, it was another car on a tow dolley along with a passenger and about 400 lbs of gear

still several more weeks before I receive the enclosed trailer shown earlier in the thread

Lupo911 seems to have the inside track on the Belltech stuff, he had a set of the KW coilovers long before they came out

Ridgeline sway bars?

they never responded to my email so I was planning to call Belltech tomorrow and inquire directly, saw these advertised

9000 feet! Man, that’s really up there for us “flat landers”

You’re new trailers looks like its gonna turn out awesome! Thanks for the link to his site. He really knows his craft. The RX look awesome and looks like a full on blast too!

Weird thing about the swaybars though maybe Lupo911 has more of an inside line on these pieces. I’ll have to pm him for more data.

Thanks for those link as well and keep us posted with regards to your great looking car hauler.
