How to install a Tekonsha Prodigy Brake Controller

Good morning fellow ROC'ers. I have a brand new Prodigy brake controller which I would like to install this weekend and have no idea where to start

Anyone who has installed one care to show me the way of the Jedi?

It's pretty straight forward. You should have a pigtail that came with your truck's tow package and a pigtail with the prodigy. Solder these together so you have a plug to plug pigtail. Now, stand on your head in the driver's side floor (not kidding) and look for a harness that is blue taped near the steering column, way underneath the dash. Pull down the plug to release it from the tape. Plug your newly soldered pigtail into that plug. Now decide where you are going to mount the controller. I used the provided click-in bracket, but some people just use Velcro. I have mine to the right of the steering wheel and just left of the center console. You should experiment with this placement first. Some people complain of bumping it with their knee. This location works fine for me and I am 6' tall. I unplug my controller when not in use and store it in a padded pouch in the center console. This further lessens the chance of bumping it. If you have any other questions, just let me know. Have fun.

Thanks Twintym, that is exactly the kind of information I was looking for. I had been looking at the Prodigy controller for a while and came to the conclusion that the right of the steering wheel is likely the only mount location that will work for me (I am 6' 5").

Thanks again!
