Re: Honda hitch cover

I lost my cover the first time I took the truck through a lazer car wash. I didn't notice until I got home. I put a brake light type cover in its place.

So the Honda hitch cover doesn't snap into place? it just sits in the receptor (I assume snuggly)?

Re: Honda hitch cover

No snap. It is just a little piece of rubber that is held there by friction. A picture being worth a thousand words, here is two thousand words. It is next to a CD for scale. Photo quality is cell phone so not too good.

Nope, just pushes in, snuggly...but not snuggly enough for the lazer wash.

Well, you used lazers on it
Just goes to show you how tough this truck is... kills the hitch cover, but the truck lives on.

Re: Honda hitch cover

I lost mine but found it, so I added a few wraps of electrical tape. Now it fits real snug, but I still try to remember to remove it before going through the car wash.

Re: Honda hitch cover

Thanks for the warning about the hitch plug coming loose. Will have to check mine tonight and snug it up.

Re: Honda hitch cover

I bought a blank chrome colored plastic hitch plug at a local tractor supply store. Then I found a guy on EBay selling gold "H" emblems. For around $7 I had this...

Re: Honda hitch cover

You could always get one of these. They are both popular in my area. The second one moves when you put on the brakes.
