Re: Do I need a dealer to install a hitch?
I takes about 15 minutes to do it yourself. I used a floor jack to help hold it in place while I bolted it on. It's already been mentioned, but you only need a class III (also, these are the most common on non commercial trucks)

I've been thinking about putting on hitch and I suppose it just dpeneds on finding the right price, but the wireing is what would spook me as I'm far from being an electrician. Don't think I'd be putting on brake control but would like a flat and round plug in as trailers can have both. Does Honda's plug in have just one or both?

Re: Do I need a dealer to install a hitch?
Installing the hitch is just a bolt on. I did have to drop the tailpipe down to get the hitch up and in position, but wasn't a big deal. I bought the plug and wiring harness from NAPA and it is basically a plug and play.
