Yes - it does make sense. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

I wonder why (besides creating opportunity for more install revenue) they don't just hook the under the dash end up automatically? Or at the very least have that end of the harness already attached to the pig tail, and then all you'd have to do would be to plug it in? Is there any reason why , as a consumer, we would prefer it not already connected?
