Unhappy No Brake Lights or Turn Signals

I had my trailer hitch installed by the dealer when I bought my Ridgeline. I don't tow that often but noticed I had no brake lights or turn signals, (the running lights work). Pluged the trailer into my friends Chevy and everything worked fine, so I determined it wasn't the trailer lighting. Took it back to the dealer and they said there was corrosion at the harness (flat wire conector). I just used the trailer last week hauling my ATV (Honda of course), and have the same problem. Any advise??

Have you cheked the fuses? I had this same problem on my '08 RTX and it was a blown fuse in the secondary fuse block in the engine compartment.

Re: No Brake Lights or Turn Signals

Checked the fuses and replaced a 7.5 fuse. Checked the trailer and found the wires were shorted on the right tailight. Fixed the wires and everything works fine. Thanks for the advise.

The wiring on the trailer was bad, replaced that and everything works fine. Thanks again.

Re: No Brake Lights or Turn Signals

I guess your friend's Chevy must have a heavier fuse for the lights, eh?
