"Super Bumper"

"Big Brown" was by yesterday and dropped off my "superdeeduper spring loaded bumper".
Seems like a good product should help with the "right kind of rear end hit". ( after my parking lot issues) Also, I can see where it would take away some of the "jerking / bumping" while towing.
'Maybe not proper to "plug" vendors here but this guy is good to deal with and appears to have a good product. (FYI)
I hope to get time to get it on tonite ?

VTX

Re: "Super Bumper"

With the mention of towing, I am wondering if it some type of in-between spring loaded device for the hitch...

Re: "Super Bumper"

Looks like it just slides into the pre-existing receiver. If that's the case, $200 does seem like a lot for what is essentially a trailer ball, not a full hitch assembly.

On the other hand, I recently started a thread on how to make my truck more dangerous to other cars, e.g. in a parking lot. $200 might not be a lot if this thing really protects your car from people who are parking behind you and pull up until they hit you!

Wouldn't help with those who pull out from behind you and scrape your rear quarter panel (which has also happened to me).

I'm hoping that the original poster, VTX, will post some pics and reviews once he has it installed.

Re: "Super Bumper"

Here I am...
That's the one ! ( re: site listing)
I got it on last nite , I still have the same opinion. ( good product)
It's very well made and may not be the "end all" on damages but it sure will help.
Two things intrigued me....
Prevention of the "lunk head" parallel parking that uses the pull forward 'till you hit method
The other one is the small to medium hit in the rear by whatever means. A "solid" shot to the uni body frame can't be a good thing ?

As far as the cost, I got the black 24" mod, and it comes with a ball of your choice and a stainless locking pin for 179.00 inc. ship. ( read : unpainted bumper cover for 300.00 + dollars)

It does just slide into the 2" receiver and I have no association with the mfg. at all.

VTX
