Re: Front end grille guard hitch receiver

I doubt you will find one by any of the bigger vendors. I know from all the guys I know who have them, they were all custom made. If you're tech savy and you know some good welders, I'd start with a full brush guard and than see what you an do with some square tubbing. I wouldn't push/bull that much but simple trailers etc around the yard shouldn't be a problem. My friend currently has one that he pushes his dual axle box trailer with on his 4runner.

I agree this could be a useful feature. I had a front reciever installed on my class C motorhome for boat launching/retrieving.

Re: Front end grille guard hitch receiver

I agree!... that would be really cool to have.

However, I'm concerned that the front clip frame / sub-frame is not intended for such and couldn't handle the tonque weight like the rear, given it was designed for 500lb. I'm sure they focused more on the crumple zone impact of the front than adding the ability to have a front receiver.

Very cool idea though.

Maybe someone up the RL food chain can help here.

My Dad had a hitch on the front of his class C when I was little kid back in the 70's. Everyone used to look at him like he was an idiot when he hooked the family boat to it at the ramp.

The skeptical looks turned to wonderment when onlookers saw how much easier it was to launch a boat that is hooked on the on the front of a 28 ft motor home than it is when it is hooked on the back. I remember him repeating this same front end launch all over the country and never saw another person that had the same setup.

I wonder if he invented the class C front end launch....
