Roof Rack to fit the stock mounts ???

Does anyone know if there is a roof rack available (other than the OEM Honda unit) that would fit the stock mounting locations on the roof of the RL ?

I am not particularly fond of the stock OEM unit. Although I have seen one with the side rails painted a semi gloss black and I thought that looked better.

if I were a machinist I'd make one and be rich, rich, rich, to do what Honda could not. some Yakima or Thule feet that bolt onto the stock rack mount points ...

Exactly what I was thinking about. Those mounting points are begging for something to be bolted on to them. It's hard to believe someone hasn't capitalized on this.

Thumbs up Re: Roof Rack to fit the stock mounts ???

I thought about taking some welding classes and trying to build a tubular aluminum roof rack (kinda like an FJ cruiser/safari style). I don't know how hard it will be though. I have some machining experience, so I can make my own mounts. I may end up trying to build it this summer. Not sure though. If it works, I am making a rear bumper brush guard and buying a front brush guard.
