Where to grond E-trailer wiring harness?

Just Bout the Curt hitch and after much effort, got the bolts lined up and the whole thing on.

Now, I've installer the e-trailers wiring harness, but nothing. I've checked all the connections, but they appear fine. Am I just not grounding is correctly?

Great forum, BTW. Been lurking and learning for a while. Thanks for any help.

Have you installed the required fuses?

Re: Where to grond E-trailer wiring harness?

I was looking at the OEM harness or installing the E-trailer/Drawtite T-connetor myself. According to the install on the T-connector, there are NO fuses to install, it is just tapping into the rear brake lights.

Re: Where to grond E-trailer wiring harness?

I put my ground wire on the chassis near the left brake light. I made sure I sanded the metal down good to get good contact, drilled my pilot hole, installed the connector, then squirted a little paint over the connection when I was done. The brake light cover hides the wire. I haven't had any problems with mine.
I bought the curt and wiring harness from E-trailer also.
