Motorcycle Ramps?
Not sure where the best forum was to put this in, but it seems like it should be ok here. Please relocate if need be!
Anyhow, for those that do trackdays with their streetbikes, or any other kind of streetbike transport, what kind of ramp do you use? Can you post a pic is possible? I'm guessing due to the short bed I should be looking into some kind of folding ramp? Thanks in advance!

Re: Motorcycle Ramps?
I have a folding aluminum ramp that I got from a local motorcycle dealer.
I used to make my own ramps out of RamParts tops and bottoms, but as the years went by and the motorcycles got more expensive it was time to step up to a better ramp. Folding is definitely the way to go since you can get a much longer ramp (I think mine is 8') which makes loading a lot easier. You can get fairly inexpensive folding ramps from Lowes, but they have rungs and are really designed for ATVs or dirt bikes. No way in hell I would try to load a streetbike using one. "Real" ramps from a motorcycle store have a solid bottom thats dimpled for grip. |

Re: Motorcycle Ramps?
Thank you for the replies.
I see many 10 foot ramps that fold to five feet. Is an eight foot length sufficient enough for the height of the Ridgeline bed, in your experience or would you recommend for a ten foot to get the extra couple of feet and lessen the angle?

Re: Motorcycle Ramps?
This is the ramp that I use:
http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=90018 It works great and is cheap. I used a ReadyRamp for a while but found it much easier to have a wider ramp. With the tri-fold ramp I can ride my bike into the back after a ride. |

Re: Motorcycle Ramps?
It works with the bed down with my SV650, but the problem is I have to mount it at a slight angle. That just means I can't use my chock to stabilize my bike. I wouldn't recommend it at all unless they decided to make a 6ft bed for the RL.

Re: Motorcycle Ramps?
I use a highland arched steel ramp. It's one piece and fits along the side of the bed. I tried using straight ramps but the front fairing on my GSXR would hit.
Here is the ramp I have: http://www.jegs.com/p/Reese/763791/10002/-1/10785
