octane boost

recently filled up with regular and now with nearly a full tank of gas i "have" to tow the boat a couple hundred miles. thinking about adding an octane boost due to my unscientific observations that i have "a lot" more gas showing on the gas gage after a couple hundred miles towing with premium vs regular..

anyone been down that route? what brand u use.

Re: octane boost

boosters don't add enough octane to equal premium, just spend the extra 20 cents per gallon and fill up at the pump without the hassle of buying & adding anything extra ...

I was at my Dealer's the other day and a Rep from Honda was there at the same time. I'm getting ready to haul my travel trailer over some high passes in Colorado in June, so even after asking the question here on the forum, I asked his opinion about octane boosters. He said it would be a total waste of money to add an octane booster. He said the Honda is designed to do the job with nothing more than premium unleaded gasoline. So that's exactly what I plan on doing.
