New RT: Wait to tow?

I picked up my '08 RT from the dealer yesterday, complete with the tow package. Should I wait to put some miles on it before I tow? It had 10 miles on it when I picked it up. I'll be towing a 19 foot sail boat: boat & trailer weight is 3,000 lbs. First tow will be from the storage yard to my home (about 3 miles). Thanks for your input!!!

Re: New RT: Wait to tow?

The book says 600 miles. The service department manager at my dealership told me 1000 miles. I have it from an informed source that "in a perfect world, one would wait until the vehicle has 5000 miles on it." The latter is probably the best bet, but Honda says 600 miles. Point to be made is it's best to wait until the vehicle is broken in. But it's your truck. Haul when you're ready!
