Magnet 4 Pin Harness Mount

I was thinking of getting a Curt Hitch, and an aftermarket 4 pin t-connect wiring harness. Has anyone used the magnet type 4 pin harness mount? If so, pics would be great. Thanks.

I bought the Curt hitch and am very happy with it. It was around $302 installed locally. I hadn't heard of the magnetic harness mount. That looks pretty cool!

Re: Magnet 4 Pin Harness Mount

I figured I could just plop the magnet to the flat bottom of the curt hitch a couple inches either side of the drawbar, and secure the wiring up higher out of sight.

until the magnet falls off and you drag your wires on the pavement for 200 miles..... guess we will see how strong the magnet is.

I have been using one of these things for about 2 years. I stuck mine to a part of the hitch that is up under the truck. The magnet is plenty strong. It has never fallen off even one time.

In short, it works as advertised. I got mine from autozone for the same price.

or one could go to a dollar store and get one of those magnetic key hideaway things you put an extra key in and hide under your car somewhere and just cut away part of the plastic to make your own harness mount.

Interesting idea. Not worth the hassle for saving $4.

Re: Magnet 4 Pin Harness Mount

On my wife's RAV4, I used a black plastic tie wrap. Less expensive, more secure,

Boy, now that's a neat solution. Looks great if the mags strong as the poster above says. Hey, do they have one strong enough to attach the trailer to the hitch without a ball. Now that would be a magnet!
