Roof Rack usage

For those of us with the roof rack, do you actually use it to haul things or just for looks? So far I have not hauled anything on mine, has anyone else?

I'm not really talking about the optional cargo boxes from Honda, I want to know if anyone has strapped down the cargo right to the rack?

Drive on......

I also bought it for the looks!

It looked so bare on top.....

In fact I did take off the cross bars due to wind noise issues. Not that hard to remove.....

Re: Roof Rack usage

Got mine for both reasons....looks and future use. I figure someday I may put a thing or two up top so I'd better have one. It does make the truck look nice too.

Re: Roof Rack usage

I like the look and maybe someday I could have used it to carry stuff, but we get a lot of snow in the winter here and its hard to remove snow with the rack, so I didn't get one.

Like Basils, I got it for looks and the potential for future use.

Ditto here. I almost hauled a few 12ft boards but a friend saw me and took them to the jobsite for me, another reason was I got called into work and had to get going..... But I would of hauled them up there.
