brake controller harness

I just purchased my truck and am trying to install the brake controller harness under the dash. From reading other entries, I think I've found the grey, four pin connector at the top of the parking brake. I've tried to connect the harness but there is very little room to put my two hands and have only succeeded at bloodying my fingers. Can it be connected w/o removing part of the dash?

Re: brake controller harness

Can't help you there, anchorstar. When the dealer installed the tow package, part of the deal was for them to install my brake controller. I hate working under dashes.

You have to remove the lower part of the dash as directed in the install guide. There is no avoiding that, but it comes off easy and pops right back on too.
