You also need to know that when you reach up under your dash that it's a LONG way up into the top of the dash. Use a flashlight and look. It's there on all the trucks, that's how they advertise them as prewired for the hitch.
We have a 4/05 build and use a brake controller. I'm glad someone posted pics. My nephew did this for us and I didn't get in before him with my camera.

Thank goodness for your pics. I was getting my brake controller installed yesterday and they had no clue to where it would be. I brought out my laptop and showed them this thread - THANK YOU!!

Thanks guys.... I spent all day yesterday looking for the plug and thought to myself..no that can't be it all the way up there wrapped in blue tape. Oh well looks like I have some work ahead of me..Thanks again this site has helped me more ways than I can count.

Be careful, the underdash metal can have sharp edges.
