Re: Show/Tell us what you are haulin'

This was taken last October after a friends child b-day party. Needless to say there was tons of gifts that would not fit her Murano, so I decide to help bring some load, but was not expecting to get more than just gifts. When the kids saw my truck they all wanted to be hauled home also. Well, to be on the safe side I just had them play on the bed instead. Tell you what this truck is a kid magnet. Everywhere I go they all seem to want to hitch a ride on it! lol my daughter actually picked the truck and it's color...not to mention all the accessories that came with it, her personal and her friends favorite the DVD entertainment, ...we love it! Can't wait to take the Ridge to the Outerbanks this summer!!!

25 boxes of rock tile, 50 lbs each, plus pallet. The guy at Lowes said that the Honda wouldn't handle it. Not so! It's rated for 1500lbs. Only problem is that I'm not, so I had to unload them one box at a time.

Re: Show/Tell us what you are haulin'

I paid for 1/2 pallet of St. Augustine grass. The guy loading put a pallet with about a half load in my Ridge and began to stack more on. When I got home and spread it out, I had 8 more than a full pallet. I called the grass company to offer to pay for the extra, but they said no. I had been told that a 1/2 ton truck couldn't handle a full pallet. As a matter of fact, my neighbor across the street brought one home in an F-250 with the front end in the air and the tail dragging. He couldn't believe my Honda could handle this! BTW, this was not intentional, so I don't recommend it, although it drove fine and was only off level a couple of inches.

Overthehill...I see you got your fence painted. What is it about a ridgeline that makes a person want to do yardwork.

That is a good picture for a Honda ad!! I there is much moisture in the sod there is a bunch of weight there. I had a full pallet of Bermuda on a F-150 a couple of times, that is quite a load and the front end was very light.

No lightness to the front end at all.

How much sod is on a pallet? How much does it weigh?
A normal pallet of sod holds 500 square feet and weighs about 1,800 lbs..

Wow!!!
