Here is what I'm towing.

Just got the trailer, and took the 911 out for a "drive". The RTX tows nicely. Used a Prodigy controller. (Thanks for the recommendations on the forum)

I tow rear first to get the proper tongue weight. ET154B 1350# Econo-Trailer plus 2700# car, for a 4050# load.

2035lbs @ 35 psi for the Michelin M&S 245x65x17 105T tires.

Sorry no pics, but a good story and a true one! Went to the Fairfax county landfill today to pick up some of their free mulch. As I backed toward the mulch pile there was this landscape contractor loading up his humongous GMC 4dr 4wd pickup (free mulch is for the avaerage guy, no commercial loading allowed). Anyway this guy kinda sneered at me as I backed in the Ridge next to him and proceeded to put my blue tarp in the bed. I don't baby the Ridge, but mulch gets wedged in the seam around the trunk and is hard to get out. So I load the Ridge up to the edge of the bed and fold the tarp over the mulch and secure with bunjee cords. The guy next to me is still sneering. Well if had rained A-LOT and when he went to pull out, his GMC spun so he put it in 4wd. But, he had so much mulch in the back and with that solid rear axle, the rear spun and sunk followed by the front. I put the Ridge in D and let the traction control do it's thing. As I pulled away I opened the sun roof and gave him a "friendly Wave". He was in a hurry becasue if he got caught getting free mulch as a commercial contractor, they make you pay by the pound!

That's what the tires are rated. Honda wants 32psi (I always run 34psi)... I was just curious if for example the tongue weight was 600 lbs you would run the tires at 35 psi....

Sounds familiar. I also have a town-run free mulch facility.

Everytime I go, there are always a bunch of domestic truck owners giving me those looks...like they start drooling at the thought of me needing to get towed from the mud once I'm loaded up. The 2nd-to-last time I was there it seemed everyone was disappointed I made it out without issue, as it was particularly muddy.

I put a 1/4 piece of plywood in the bed to try to keep the mulch out of the trunk cracks, and I also put a tarp over the tailgate to prevent scratches in the tailgate, because the loader is wider than the bed. The operator is very considerate, and does his best to try to fill only half of the bucket but the tarp is to prevent the overflow from scratching.

I would guestimate that at 34psi, yoy are good to go (With 600 pounds or less on the ball).

Hi All,

I thought I would contribute to the thread, owned the Ridgeline for over 2 years now and towed for the very first time last weekend. The 240 weighs around 2800 lbs + 2000 lbs uhaul trailer (they claim it's 2000 lbs), for a total of 4800 lbs. Plus 3 total passengers and gear for a weekend long event, drinks, food, clothes.

The Ridgeline handled pretty well, It was a 250 mile trip one way from NY to PA. A little slow climbing the hills on the highway but no problems at all. On the straights you could hardly tell it was behind me. I was cruising at around 60-65 mpg and got fairly good gas mileage, around 15-16 mpg (premium fuel).
