2006 Ridgeline Safety Recall - Fuel Pump Relay

Thanks I just checked mine and it appears that I have the affected relays. I still have to make an appointment for the windshield (TSB for noise). Maybe I can get both done the same day. Thanks for the info. and I'll keep you posted.

Keep in mind that at this point in time most dealers are not aware of the recall. They probably wouldn't have the parts yet even if they know about it.

If you feel you need to get this done right away let the dealer know this is covered under TSB 07-020. They can look this up easily.

It's also important to note that even if your VIN falls within the recall range it doesn't mean you have a bad relay. Honda did not keep track of which individual vehicles received the Denso or Mitsuba relays.

Be careful judging by owner's link. My Ridge is in the VIN range but owner's link says I have no recalls.

I have an appt on Friday with the dealer to fix the LoJack install the screwed up on I will ask then.

I doubt that Owner's Link will reflect the recall until early April.

Just checked mine again. It is NOT within the vin range. Also for information the build date is 3/06

The VIN for my RL is 6H528079, near the end of the '06 VIN range covered by this notice. It has a build date of 06/05. I'll take it the dealer as I get a copy of the official notice. BTW, logged on to Honda's Ownerlink website, they don't show the recall for my RL yet.

Seriously speaking, thanks Csimo for bringing this to our attention as this IS a safety recall and I'd hate for anyone's RL to cut out at the wrong time.

An important note for all. I just verified my RL with VIN No.......H003033 (Very early production) and she's running the bad Mitsuba relays.

DO NOT RELY ON HONDA'S POSTED VIN RANGE!!!! A visual verification is necessary to confirm postive ID on the defective relay.

If it makes anyone feel better... my VIN is within the range and I just went out and took a look at mine... I have the Mitsuba (bad) relay.

I'm a victim I tell you!

The replacement part is 39794-SDA-305 and the TSB pays 0.2 hours flat rate. I don't know how much the relay costs, but I think I could swap it out in about 20 seconds. If it doesn't cost very much I think I might just order it and swap it out myself.

If anyone has access to the part cost for 39794-SDA-305 please post it here or send it to me via PM or email.

Unfortunately, Mitsuba relay is shown as replacement unless the -305 supercedes the -A05.
